Lebeauchat.com gets a complete makeover, but there is more to this...
Lebeauchat - the beautiful cat - inquisitive, smart and a charmer. As a website Lebeauchat has gone
through many lives. This is the beginning of a new life for Lebeauchat, but first some background on
the past lives. Initially Lebeauchat was the support site for our auction business. My Mother and I
used the website to provide additional auction information, more pictures, shopping cart and
invoicing for all the auctions we ran. The auction fees kept increasing, Mom and I had long
discussions about how much we could absorb and still provide our customers with good value.
The day came and we realized we could no longer continue with the auction business. I had already
moved into a POD (print on demand) business so I helped my Mom set up the next life for the
website. Lebeauchat’s new life, a stand alone website where Mom could continued to list
merchandise. Those were great days, Mom so enjoyed interacting with her customers. But the day
came where diabetes and other health issues made the bad days far exceed the good ones and
Lebeauchat was no longer something Mom could do.
Lebeauchat’s next life was as a supporting site for my POD shops and for some affiliate sales... But
eventually it was abandoned in favor of new projects.
My Mother passed away in 2008 due to complications from diabetes. And so another life for the
Lebeauchat website. The "new" Lebeauchat is dedicated to my mother, Charlotte. She touched the
world with her grace and kindness. And what better way to honor my mother's memory than to reach
out to others with diabetes and chronic wounds.
And so the evolution of Lebeauchat, from a caregivers perspective.
